Firearms Safety Course Newburyport

Non-shooting Objective-Learning course; Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.

THIS IS AN APPROVED COURSE FOR MA LTC/FID LICENSING (Mass Resident and Non-Resident).

Learn about safe gun handling in a classroom environment among your peers. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearm accidents; firearm parts and functions; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate. A portion of this course will discuss Massachusetts Laws, as required by the Massachusetts State Police.

Firearms Safety Course at IFGA

  This is a non-shooting objective-learning course in a classroom environment. The course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.
    Why is this a good course for you to attend? You will learn how to handle properly and safely, store, and travel with a firearm. Other topics you will learn include the three safety rules for gun handling; parts and functions of firearms; safe storage of firearms; how to apply for a License to Carry (LTC) or Firearms Identification Card (FID). This course includes a hands-on section so that you can work with a few different types of firearms and get comfortable with handling them in the classroom, which will help with confidence building and well as gain important knowledge. A section of this course will discuss Massachusetts Laws, as required by the Massachusetts State Police.

Learn about safe gun handling in a classroom environment among your peers.
