The NRA Range Safety Officer Course prepares individuals to promote safe firearms handling and range operations. Students learn to enforce range safety rules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conduct range inspections, identify unsafe conditions, respond to emergencies, and supervise live-fire activities safely and professionally.
Open to participants age 21 and older. Successful completion of the course qualifies students to apply to the NRA for Range Safety Officer credentialing. NRA credentialing fees are paid separately and vary based on NRA membership status.
