Personal Safety & Defensive Options

Not everyone chooses a firearm as their primary means of personal protection. At Seacoast Firearms Training, we believe responsible self-defense begins with education, awareness, and choosing the right tools for your comfort level, lifestyle, and legal environment.

We offer civilian-focused personal safety training using nationally recognized programs from MACE® Security International and the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).

MACE® Personal Defensive Spray Training

MACE® brand pepper spray is one of the most widely used personal safety tools in the world. When carried and used responsibly, it provides an effective non-lethal option for personal defense.

Our MACE® training covers:

  • How defensive sprays work and when they are appropriate
  • Legal considerations for civilian carry in Massachusetts
  • Proper carry methods and deployment techniques
  • Situational awareness and avoidance strategies
  • Limitations and post-incident considerations

This training is ideal for:

  • New shooters or non-shooters
  • College students and young adults
  • Professionals who cannot carry firearms at work
  • Anyone seeking a non-lethal self-defense option

USCCA Civilian Defensive Training

As a USCCA-certified instructor, Seacoast Firearms Training offers civilian-appropriate defensive education focused on lawful self-defense, decision-making, and personal responsibility.

USCCA-based instruction may include:

  • Concealed Carry & Home Defense fundamentals
  • Defensive mindset and situational awareness
  • Use-of-force decision making for civilians
  • Emergency response and personal safety planning
  • Active threat awareness (civilian response, not law enforcement tactics)

These courses are designed for responsible citizens seeking education—not tactical or law-enforcement training.
